loverofromance 's review for:
Lord of London Town
by Tillie Cole
This book is one of that random pick up reads but it has been a book that I have seen all over the community and I have been so curious about this one and this is an author that I have been wanting to explore more of. I have always loved how she handles dark romance and was curious about a London-based mafia and I could never have imagined what this story would deliver because it completely blew my mind away. It was superb in every way and the hero especially has my heart. But I actually loved the heroine as well. (Tillie Cole writes some superb heroines) and I was so caught up in this dark and twisted world and this family and seeing all that they go through but how they come out fighting on the other end. The romance is on point and seeing how they are both willing to fight for each other was so fantastic. I just wanted so much from them and they both had such strengths that really balanced their relationship out. The heroine surprised me the most I think. Because on the surface she is this socialite type, but she is drawn to Arthur, and when things get bad for her and Arthur gives her shelter and safety, she really comes into her own and embraces being his queen and seeing the character grow was so entrenching. The family bonds and the way that they see how needed she is for Arthur and fight for their relationship were so captivating. This is a book that will tear your heart out but it's also a book that will stun in you these little moments where there is this sweetness and connection that really connects these two so beautifully. I had so much fun with this book and I need book 2 NOW!
