Words to describe this final book in the Arc of a Scythe Trilogy:
Incredible. Breathtaking. Overwhelming. Inspiring. Divers.
Let me explain:
Incredible: The way Neal Shusterman was able to capture moments, feelings and perspective was spectacular! Learned some new words while reading ;)
Breathtaking: The tension this book had on me!? Gut wrenching. At the edge of my seat while reading brutal and sweet scences and anything in between. The world building was perfect as always.
Overwhelming: There were SO many plot lines. I think I counted up to 8 but don't quote me on that. Honestly, sometimes I struggled keeping up with everyone to a point where it just got confusing but suprised when all the stories gathered up at the end.
Inspiring: The way this book is talking philosophical about religions, believes, disbeliefs and social life that fit the ficitonal story AND our world right now was so beautiful. Definitely inspired me in many ways.
Divers: I need to shout out a character (no spoilers) that identified gender fluid. This character was by far the best representation of LGBTQIA+ people in one ficitonal person. It didn't feel forced at all, actually added questions, dilemma and beauty to the story!
Finally: 4.5 stars!! This trilogy is a highlight in my reading year and journey. I understand the critisism some people share (looking at the 600 pages) and it's definitely not for everyone but I feel like a lot of people can enjoy and love this series like I do.
