omqchristi 's review for:
Six of Crows
by Leigh Bardugo
Readability: 3/5
Plot: 3/5
Recommend:
6 people, one impossible heist. Set in the Grishaverse, Kaz Brekker and his gang must attempt to steal something from one of the most secure locations in the world.
I really had high expectations with this book. This book has so much hype and love that I thought I too, would love it. Spoiler: I didn't really love it. Hence, why it took me a month to finish this book.
The first 75% of the book was boring and difficult to get through, but the end was fine. I had to sometimes switch to the audiobook to really get me into reading this at the end. (Honestly, I couldn't speed up my audiobook. So I just read it with my eyes simply because the slowness of the audiobook annoyed me so much that it forced me to want to finish the book so that I didn't have to listen to the audiobook again. Mind you, this isn't because the audiobook was bad, I was just annoyed because I tend to listen to audiobooks at 2x-3.8x speed and normal speed is just too slow for me.)
Am I going to read the next book? Maybe... Probably. I'll just need to get the audiobook in a place where I can speed it up.
