I can’t really explain why I like this book, but I did. 

I definitely think that there was room for improvement and it wasn’t the horror that I was expecting - very minimal gore - but overall I think it was right for me. There were a few descriptions that made me physically cringe, but overall I felt like I might have been the ideal audience for this. 

We meet Ji-Won when things in her life just seem to be spiraling. Her Father has up and left her family, leaving her Mother a mess, she’s trying to survive University after not getting accepted where her friends and she had plans to go together, and she’s trying to care for her family to the best of her ability. 

Enter Mom’s new boyfriend, an absolute sleazeball that Ji-Won can see right thru. And she wants his eyes….
