Lovely Violent Things
by Trisha Wolfe
I really wish I didn't see the plot twist coming. It seemed pretty obvious to me from boom one who the Overman was, so I wrote it off in the first book because I thought it was TOO obvious. It also seemed a bit too easy, to be quite honest.
I just want some freaking answers. This series just spins you around in circles nonstop until you don't know what's up or down. I feel like something has gone completely over my head, and I'm missing something completely, but at the same time, I also think that it's deliberate to create this Gothic and dark atmosphere. I'm glad Halen suddenly remembers everything at the end because I am more than ready to get some answers.
I don't think I enjoyed this book as much as the first. And I definitely raised my eyebrows and made a couple of faces while saying “riiiight” in this one.
