Edit 2023: I'm not sure why I gave this 4 stars the first I read this, because upon reread this was clearly 5 stars. It could be because I chose to listen to the audiobook this time (which was excellently narrated) but there was never a moment where I was bored or not immersed in the story. The themes about grief hit even harder, and the plot twists still caught me off guard even though I technically already knew the story.
