I honestly thought this was SO GOOD and my expectations were low because of the reviews. It was such a great book! The premise alone sucked me in: Lina was engaged to Max's brother, Andrew, but Andrew called off the wedding and Max had to break the news to Lina. Lina hates him for it, because she believes he had a hand in breaking them up, and then they're forced to work together later and sparks just fly. Lina and Max had such palpable chemistry. The angst and the tension and the teasing and the banter was all just perfection. And can we talk about the smut in this book?! Looks are deceiving because the cover doesn't give that away but whew, it was spicy. All the tropes too: one bed, enemies to lovers, close proximity, etc. I also greatly snjoyed reading about Brazilian culture, as a good friend of mine is Brazilian and it was great to read more about it in this book. I can't wait for the follow up book! And the movie!
