This is romance for grown ass adults, it’s raw and vulnerable and shows the not so pretty side of a decades long marriage that is unraveling at a rapid speed. It’s very emotional and I knew it was gonna make me cry, I tried to avoid it but damn it was truly heartbreak at times. I warned you. BUT. It is a very worthwhile read if you want a romance that is flawed and that you can sink your teeth into. The author captured the complexities of marriage and parenthood in such a profound and relatable way. This one took me on an unexpected journey that won’t soon forget.
