- Strong warnings for explicit depiction of war crimes, sexual violence (including children), torture, ethnic & religious genocide.
- Started off shaky but the compelling plot delving into the Bosnian genocide gains momentum in the middle & leads to a strong ending. Has my big pet peeve: POV hopping within a single scene.
- I wish there is less focus on the foibles of the MCs' personal and romantic lives. But I would be interested in reading more from this series.
