Flying Solo by Linda Holmes

Audiobook: 4.5 - Thank you to Libro.Fm for a copy of this book!

I knew that a lot of people loved Linda's prior book (own it and one day I'll read it) so I wasn't sure of her style of writing. This was a the book club selection for my Bad Bitch Club Pocono retreat and I am so happy it was.  We had such a meaningful discussion with the baddies that tied both the book and our personal experiences together.

I loved that the female MC Laurie was 40 and knows exactly who she is and won't settle.
She went back to her hometown to go through her late Aunt Dot's belongings and became fascinated by the history of a decoy duck. The duck goes on a journey and become its own character in the book. I also love that this has a second chance romance. Nick was SO swoon worthy. He loved Laurie and knew that they weren't meant to be together in someway, somehow. Plus hello he is a librarian!
