Sea Wife by Amity Gaige
3.0

I loved the premise and setting of this and I want to read more books about families out at sea. The writing style was unique, and I am surprised that the lack of quotation marks didn't bother that much! We got multiple perspectives, and log entries and it was multifaceted in that way for the reader. I appreciated the emotions of the characters. Each one felt very real for me! This was a book that had me putting myself in Juliet's shoes and thinking, What would I Do? As a mother, a wife, a professional, she certainly has to wear many hats and keep all the balls spinning, despite her own traumas.

Why it only got a 3 star rating from me is because of the ending. I just wasn't a fan of how the story wrapped up, specifically the way the author told the story in the last 30 or so pages. This was my first book written by this author and I would like to explore more by her.
