If Assistant to the Villan made you giggle, but you want a more serious, high stakes plot, I recommend this book! It was funny, heartwarming and had a fantastic plot.
I found the characters to be well developed, the decisions they made make sense for who they are. The plot makes sense, is unfolded at a pace that works well, and the details added so much humor and depth to the world without being too dense to read.
This is the first in a series, second book is currently set to come out February, 2026. It did end with a cliffhanger, but not the kind that keeps you awake for months after. I can handle the wait.
