Knot My Type
by Evie Mitchell
What a wonderful find. This book caught my eye after FACEBOOK so kindly shoved the add down my throat. Just the cover alone is eye catching. A pink haired cutie in a wheelchair with a hot guy. I figured what's the harm, it's probably a cute little Hallmark love story.
If Hallmark covered kink clubs, bondage, and sex podcasts then yeah that's what this was. This book gave me Lifetime movie vibes sprinkled with Cinemax porn after dark. I loved how innocent yet saucy this story was. I wouldn't call it smut in the general sense but it can definitely hit the spot and that cute cover will have people in the park, beach, or doctor's office none the wiser.
Frankie is intelligent, fun, independent, a bit stubborn, yet has the BEST communication and processing skills. Her handicap was not a major focal point of this story which I appreciated. Her needs were addressed with direct statements. No insensitive faux paus to get a few laughs. Which was one of my concerns going in.
Jay was fantastic. He had some insecurity issues but for the most part he didn't allow them to infect his relationship with Frankie. I enjoyed his attraction to her and their flirting. He didn't stand a chance.
I look forward to continuing this series as well as checking at other series by Evie Mitchell because she described some pretty hot shit.
