The Hometown Dilemma
by Julie Archer
3. 5 stars. The story for this one got my attention quickly, and it was a short and easy read. I liked the characters and also the way that the sisters were able to deal with one dating the other’s ex-boyfriend without getting overly dramatic. The romance and connection between Jaime and Wade was good and worked perfectly. The steamy scenes were good, although a few parts were kind of awkward or seemed kind of rushed in a way. At the end I felt like there was a little bit more drama needed about some issues that came between them, but at least the way they solved the problems seemed realistic and not overly dramatic for drama’s sake. Oh, one other thing was occasionally there would be words that I don’t think really were the right meaning for what they were being used for. I only made note of one, but it was when she said a parent looking for a book on climate change for their child was an influential choice. Not sure that fit what they were meaning. I would say something more like a timely or educational choice.
