So nice I bought it twice. Only a couple hours in to listening to the audiobook I knew I'd need my own copy to mark up. You might recognize Liz Plank, she's notorious for videos she's hosted/produced on Vox and smart as all get out. She brings the same sharp commentary to her book. Though much of the information here isn't revolutionary—I'm looking at you, ladies, you know what this is about—as a collective treasure trove of statistics and advice, it speaks to me. The premise is pretty much to showcase the disappointing masculinity that has ruled cisgender men for millennia and discussing how we can all be better by finally addressing it and demanding we throw it out and start over. Stereotypes here are true but that doesn't mean they're "right". If there are any men in your life, please gift them this book.
