Will by Will Smith, Mark Manson

This book. Seriously.

*Hands down one of the best books I read this year.
*Hands down one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to (and I listen to A LOT of audiobooks).
*Hands down one of the best memoirs I have ever read.

It will come as no surprise that the audiobook narration was phenomenal. Will Smith is an actor, has fantastic comedic timing, and knows how to keep an audience captivated.

What WAS surprising to me was how well written this was. Moving chronologically through his life, with flashbacks and flash forwards embedded within stories, Smith examines his life authentically, openly, and honestly (along with a touch of swaggering).

What was most surprising, though, was how so much of his advice and reflection spoke to me on a personal level. This is largely situational and due to my current emotional status. There were times that I had to stop and really think about what he was saying. To think about how his message applied to my life and the implications of those messages.

I lucked out - I was the first person to check this out from the library after it was added to the list. When I turned it in, I immediately put it on hold. And it said I have a 26 week wait to listen. I will also be purchasing a copy.

This is a book I will revisit.
