Think I would have enjoyed this more if I was a writer myself but it was really eye opening to read about the trails and tribulations of trying to write a novel. I liked the main character and felt connected to her. My heart broke for her after her mother's death and I feel like she was my friend telling me about her dating life. I think both men she dated offered her a glimpse at a life she wanted but not fully enough for her to commit to either. I think by the end of the book, she was a completely different person and narrator.
