A very, very cute book that I would recommend to anyone ages 9 and up! It's a translated work, and reminded me a lot of Inkheart in its feel and wording. Not quite as dark as Funke's series, but it still has some depth to its message. The beginning felt a lot more childish than the rest of the story, but that may just be because our elf protagonist, Yorsh, is still just a youngling ("a pup, one recently born"). Anyway, a wonderful tale about the last elf, the last dragon, and how keeping positive, having faith, and hopeful can make its own magic.
