Okay but the real review: ⠀
This book is so wonderfully “high school” and I mean that in the best way possible. This young adult novel makes you feel like you’re actually participating in these last few days of high school events. I really felt the emotions that Rowan felt throughout the book and I wanted to laugh and cry along with her during parts! Not to mention, this book really made me want to visit Seattle and do my own version of Howl! This book addressed antisemitism and both of the main characters about their own experiences being Jewish and it was so well done. I really loved how it was woven into the story and explained. I feel like many young adult books do a really great job at explaining serious topics in a way that anyone can understand. the characters are incredible and I really felt like my high school self connected with Rowan on certain things. The feeling of not wanting to tell people what you want to do when you leave high school with the fear of people not taking it seriously, not feeling like you accomplished everything. And Neil....
