I absolutely loved this story (hence the 5 ⭐ rating) and was instantly drawn in with the most beautiful prose, vivid descriptions, and eerie storytelling. The characters are raw, emotional, loveable and punchable, and believable, from the breathing to the not-so breathing. I'm not a fan of horror, so I appreciate the spooky and creepy vibes that the story holds; I can see what fans of horror might be missing with this, but it hit just the right spot for me.
