What a delightful, creepy read, ha ha. I'm glad it was a novella, because horror is not typically my genre. This did an excellent job of creating tension, spooky vibes, and driving a satisfying resolution.
I've never read the original by Poe so I had no expectations or basis of comparison. I feel like there were a couple spots I had to reread to make sure I was understanding, but I loved the bits of humor throughout.
