When Sheila announced she was writing the second generation of The Lost God, I immediately began gnawing at the bars of my enclosure. Returning to this world was a lot like coming home, but never fear: it truly stands alone so you don’t have to read TLG first (though you should it’s an incredible series).

This book was so much fun. As an eldest daughter, I related to so many of the struggles Stella and Teddy faced while trying to figure out their places in the world. With the added angst of an unwanted heart-bond…whew I was HOOKED. Teddy and Stella are each hilarious, vulnerable, and badass in their own way. These apples did not fall far from their respective trees, and it was a delight seeing mini-Cece and mini-Xander together.

I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I kicked my feet with glee through all the thigh-biting sexy times 😏 If you’re looking for your next standalone Romantasy read, THIS IS IT.
