This was a super solid continuation of the Nightmare-verse, and an even stronger book than its predecessor A Blade So Black. Not only is this book funny and full of distinct characters, but McKinney sure knows how to right a battle/combat sequence that goes on for pages and keeps you engaged and wanting more. I am supremely excited about the next book in the series, and this book wraps up questions from the first book but also presents other questions to be answered later on.
