Crier’s War is set in a future where Automae’s are ruling over the humans. Crier is an Automae and the daughter of the ruling king, and finds out there is a flaw in her design. Ayla is a human and her whole family was murdered when she was a child. She is after revenge, and wants to take away from the king what he cares most about: Crier.
I loved the world and the characters here! I just wish we got more of all the things I loved, that more things were explored and expanded on. But as this is a series, I am very happy to see where the story will go and have more time with everything in the book. The villain was very predictable and boring, but we also have potential two other villains so I’m curious to see how it all will go? There was also two twists here I didn’t see coming, and I feel like I should? Haha. Still left me gasping, and I’m as mentioned above: so excited to see what the sequels will hold, because it can go in so many directions! 3.5/5 stars. Check out my video review for more thoughts.
