The Plan

I haven't read the other books in this series, however The Plan can be read as a stand alone without any problems.
Not going to lie, after reading the blurb, I was expecting a lighthearted rom-com. That is so not what we got. Sure, there were elements of the light and fluffy, however there was more drama and angst in this than light and fun.
I like Gabe - he is up front with who he is and you go with that flow. However Marley, I don't know but she just felt like a 13 year old rather than a grown woman.
The story felt a little fractured to me. It just didn't seem to flow for me, at times it jumped and felt rushed. I really did have to suspend belief at times with this one - I know that's what fiction is all about, but these things were just too OTT.
The end felt a bit rushed as all the stories get tied up in a neat little bow.
The story isn't bad, this one just wasn't really one for me.
I do look forward to seeing what Ms James bring us next.
