Overall reco: There is something about Sarina Bowen that hits just right. I had read the first of this series months ago and enjoyed it. A nice balance of stressful moments and happiness. There is often a balance that is with these books that not ever author gets right. Lately I've read a lot of books that don't have that balance, they lean to heavy on the angst and the heartbreak and not enough on the good moments. Sarina is one of those authors that knows how to walk that line so well.
I really enjoyed the MMC's, they both felt complex and the story didn't feel like it was dominated one side against the other. Their problems felt realistic and not just stupid. There was miscommunication, and while it could have been easily resolved with some conversation, the reasons why they weren't talking made sense. Frustrating but the good kind. Overall I really enjoyed this book, as I always seem to do with Sarina. Not something that will blow me out of the water but good enough that I feel good reading it.
Sarina is one of those authors that just feels like a nice big hug.
