Life for Sale
by Yukio Mishima
This book was entertaining but nowhere near perfect. The random misogyny really took me out of things, it's presence is, of course, expected in something that is as old as this story is, but it's still noticeable.
The ending was very abrupt and unsatisfactory. You get to the last three pages and are thinking, "How is this all going to wrap up?" The answer is it's not.
Overall, it is entertaining with its sheer absurdity but not a masterpiece.
