A Crown of Hopes and Sorrows by Nicole Bailey
5.0

*Thank you to Nicole Bailey for an ARC for me to review**

Without spoilers, A Crown of Hopes and Sorrows starts right where A Veil of Gods and Kings left off. And boy oh boy is it another masterpiece. I absolutely LOVED A Veil of Gods and Kings and I’m so glad i got a copy of A Crown of Hopes and Sorrows to review. It was perfection.

Once again, my favourite character is Pip. My plus sized queen. Her development in book 2 is more about her feelings for Val, and god damn I love them both. Anyone who doesn’t like Pip? Go away, don’t talk to me. I will fight anyone who doesn’t like her.

Plot: The plot in this is easy to follow, yet SO intriguing. I loved every second of reading this book. I’m not too familiar with the Apollo x Hyacinth myth, but I love this retelling. I’m obsessed with it. I need book 3.

Apollo and Hyacinth themselves are so complex and so dynamic. I love how detailed their characters are. Having three dimensional characters is something that is so good. And all of them in this are three dimensional.

Temi: yes, Temi gets her own section. Because besides Pip, she’s my favourite. I need MORE Temi POVs. I love Temi with all I am. I’m begging for more Temi chapters.

Overall, I beg of you to read this series. The first one is on kindle unlimited. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
