This is book 3 in the series and there is enough back info to read as a stand alone but I think reading it in order helps you understand Ellie and her relationships better. The Burning Girls is a good pace and has some great main characters which add a lot to the story. It’s a nice easy read but I wouldn’t say it’s top of my crime thriller list. The link between the victims is interesting and a bit different but I did guess one of the main twists. I do like seeing how Ellie adapts and moves on with everything that is thrown at her. She's pretty badass although she suffers way too many head injuries. If you’re looking for a crime thriller that’s not overly complicated and easy to pick up whenever you’ve got a few minutes then definitely check this one out.
