It was a pretty good read! I enjoyed reading this book as it also satisfied a deeply rooted need to read some books with dragons in it. While the lore and world-building is super solid, I kind of felt a little bit lost in the lore, but that's probably because I haven't read the Age of Fire series prior to reading Novice Dragoneer (don't fret, the first book of the Age of Fire series is on my wishlist/TBR). Other than the minor hiccup of missing out on some very important lore, I did really enjoy reading this book and I will most likely read the next book at some point in the future.
