Daredevil: Redemption by David Hine
5.0

Daredevil really does have the best stories. This is easily one of my new favorite Daredevil stories.

So a little kid is brutally murdered in a backwoods area called Redemption. They blame all of it on a young kid, saying he's been evil since birth, and want him to get the death penalty. So Matt Murdock comes from NYC to this country side area and soon learns this religious ruled area is really fucked up. As Matt plays both enforcer with the daredevil suit, and lawyer during the day, can he save this man from getting convicted?

What works is the atmosphere and dialogue here. Finally we have a story of Matt being in court most of the time. On top of that the mystery of who's a killer and who isn't is great. The feeling of dread is perfect for this type of story and Matt's hopeless battle is hard to watch. The ending is a gut punch and made me so mad but that's the point of a great sad tale.

This is a must read for Matt Murdock fans. A 5 out of 5.
