The Murder of Madison Garcia
by Marcy McCreary
mysterious
fast-paced
It was great to see Susan and her father back in action... This time, the murder of a young woman with ties to their family. Madison was killed and it's up to Susan to sort through the clues to find out who did it.
I liked to see the reluctance that Susan had in letting her father be involved in this one. He's retired, it's a new case and not a cold case, and he was friends with Madison's grandparents. I liked how this wasn't just a story to find a murderer but that it brought up a whole other issue that gets the FBI involved.
I was surprised at what the ending of this story was. I didn't even lean that way in my thinking. This was well done and a fast read!
