Group Therapy by B.B. Easton
5.0

I loved the recent tv show made from this author’s book called Sex/Life, and it made me buy and start reading the book it was based on. I really enjoyed it, and when I heard about this one coming out, I jumped on the chance to read it. And let me tell you I adored this so much! It really was a laugh out loud kind of story that had me wanting to read constantly. I was so glad I ended up with a snow day when I was in the middle of reading it so that I could stay up late to finish.

While really it was more Lou, Dr. Sterling’s story, I loved that we also got some chapters from Thomas’s viewpoint. Both characters had their own family and past issues that led to the things they were dealing with in the present. You had the usual misunderstandings between the two. Both thinking at times that the other was not interested based on them pushing the other away, even though both were also doing it because they thought the other one didn’t really want them. But the attraction between them was what I felt was realistically done and developed, not too fast, not too slow.

Oh my gosh, the group therapy meetings were hilarious! So many characters and so funny! The way it all blew up in the end was perfect too. Not to mention the way that Lou figured to try to get Thomas back, that even was very unexpected too! Her family, especially her stepdad, had some great humorous bits, as well as some great advice, that made the story that much more full. And her friend group too, loved all of their little parts of the story as well as what they created for the group therapy sessions.

A great story, and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
