Yes No Maybe So
by Becky Albertalli, Aisha Saeed
I had mixed feelings about this when I started reading this. I've read two of Becky's books before and I LOVE her writing, but I knew this was about American politics, something that really confuses me (because I don't live in America).
But I read this book anyway, and I'm glad I did. Although the story at first wasn't that interesting to me, I loved the two main characters, and it was an easy book to read, the pages flew by, and I actually startes enjoying it.
This book taught me a lot, not only about American politics, but also about Jewish and Muslim culture. I'm not religious, I live in a town where barely anyone is religious, so I never knew a lot about different cultures, except for the things I read on the internet. And I'm happy that I now know more about the different cultures and religions.
The writing was amazing, I enjoyed reading about both characters, and I'm definitely going to check out more books by Aisha Saeed!
I would definitely recommend this book. Even if you're like me and barely know anything about American politics, while the main story is about politics, it's not so difficult to read. And there are other storylines.
