"How do you begin telling the story of a great love when you know it ended in disaster?"
Thank you to BiblioLifestyle and Harper Via for the gifted copy of The Hummingbird! All opinions are my own.
I learned early on in this book that it's important to pay attention to the years written at the beginning of each chapter. Told in nonchronological order, The Hummingbird details the life of Marco Carrera. I like that the author uses a mix of narration, phone conversations, and texting to tell the story.
I always love reading the Translator's Note at the end of a novel. I find their process fascinating, especially when you consider what is lost from the original version of the book to the English version when translated.
