We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
3.0

This is one of those books that gets better as you read. At first, I was "what in this world is this?" but half-way through this small book I was beginning to see the genius behind it. It was helpful that I read this in practically one sitting. I have to say I'm not a fan of the narrator. She is both an unlikeable narrator and an unreliable narrator, and while it was good for the concept of this book, I did not enjoy it. The saving grace was that it made me cry. Not a lot, but enough for me to know that I genuinely care about these characters.
