I primarily read romance and fantasy, so thrillers aren’t my usual go-to. But after recently enjoying some Michael Crichton books, Amazon’s ever-watchful algorithm suggested Mind’s Eye by Douglas E. Richards. On a whim, I gave it a shot—and I’m so glad I did!

This book delivers a fantastic blend of action, suspense, and mind-bending technology, all while raising thought-provoking ethical questions. But what truly won me over was the dynamic between Nick and Megan. Nick’s humor kept things light even in tense moments, and Megan? She’s the kind of female lead I love—strong, intelligent, and fully capable. No helpless damsel here! They saved each other, and their partnership made the story even more compelling.

If you enjoy thrillers packed with real-world science, high stakes, and characters you can root for, this is a must-read. I can’t wait to continue the series and see what’s next for Nick, Megan, and their team!
