Ugh. Devney Perry writes some of my favorite books, and she also writes some of my least favorite books. This? This is one of my least favorites. See, there is a difference between the main character being just timid and shy, and then her just being a straight up doormat who doesn't recognize when she is being mistreated and that she deserves better. He doesn't even notice her and doesn't even acknowledge her existence and yet she is so in love with him and is convinced she will marry him? This was so one sided, which makes it so hard to believe that things were actually genuinely mutual when they do actually get together. I just really didn't like this and felt like it had such potential and really missed the mark. Let's hope for better books as we continue through this series.
