Redemption
by Ava Summers, Ava Summers
"Redemption" by Ava Summers – This is a dark Mafia Romance that starts in a way our parents always warn us about. A woman traveling overseas gets drugged in a nightclub and ends up kidnapped. I am close to my 50s, and I swear my mom still worries about this every time I walk out of the house, let alone when I go on vacation. And this scenario is exactly what happened to our main character, Theresa. Then we have Viktor, forced into a life of crime by the very person responsible for killing his family. Their worlds cross when Viktor is tasked with holding Theresa until she is auctioned off for sale by his boss.
This is a fast-paced book. It has a good plot, action, and spice. The author does a good job when it comes to Viktor's and Theresa’s dilemma. Viktor may be morally gray, but you are rooting for him to do the right thing. The story is well-developed and well-written; at the same time, the action and spice keep you engaged. I give it 4.5 out of 5 Stars, at the end of the book ends leaving you wondering. The epilogue does wrap up the story with a jump in time, but I am still wondering what happened in-between. All in all, I would recommend it.
