An Unquiet Mind: A Memoir of Moods and Madness
by Kay Redfield Jamison
As someone with (God willing) decades ahead of them in which I will live with and suffer from bipolar disorder, narratives from people who have lived similar decades are incredibly important to me. I knew this book would change me from the first page. It took hold of me, simultaneously in a chokehold and an embrace. This isn't a recovery story, it isn't an "it gets better" story. It's just the truth. And I thank Jamison for that.
