To Sleep in a Sea of Stars
by Christopher Paolini
Kira is an xenobiologist and is working on a new planet to help it build a colony. Her job makes her lonely since she goes planet to planet. She has worked a few times with Alan, and they have fallen in love. He proposes and everything feels amazing. However, one day on the planet she is on, she ends up falling and getting a moving dirt on her. It ends up being an alien specimen that adheres to her as if it is a skin suit. It becomes a part of her and protects her. Something happens and she loses Alan and all over her crew. Then, she discovers the Jellies, an alien species attacking. How can she help stop them with this alien thing on her?
This is a hefty book! It’s 872 pages and is long. There is a lot of information in it and there was a lot of tedious things in it that made me bored and made me want to DNF the book quite a bit. I’m so happy to be finished with it. I do love Kira and her growth. The Wallfish characters were my favorite and I loved how they interacted.
