I listened to this audiobook, and with the interrogation room scenes, I think that format works incredibly well for this story. Each person in Amir's family gets a different narrator, and it's just an overall great listening experience.

This story was also fantastic. Amir's arc throughout the book is so important and he's constantly learning as he tries new things. He's a teenager, of course he's going to make mistakes! But these mistakes cause growth that you can actively see throughout the book.

As an outsider to the culture, I think Ahmadi nails it on the head. There's so many intersections between culture and sexuality and people forget that sometimes. I'm so glad to have read this story, and glad that there are teens who will be able to relate to Amir's journey.
