A more appropriate title for this book might be A Court of Emotional Infidelity & Miscommunication. The two main characters suffered from Chronic Too Dumb to Be Alive-itis and strung other people along for 12 years. I’ve never left a rom com thinking nah, these two aren’t gonna make it. A lot of these issues could have been solved with Dual POV so we could see Alex’s thoughts and/or an epilogue farther in the future. As it stands I give their fictional relationship a year tops.
