Love Next Door by Rachael Sommers

I really liked this. The fake dating was used really well. I loved and was amused by how easy it was for one of the characters to come out.
One thing the author seemed to have overlooked was that she was so stressed about telling her son she was dating Riley, but she and Riley were presenting as a couple at Tyler’s birthday? The child dialogue in this was much better than in the last book I read by this author where it was impossible to tell what age the kid was meant to be. Here it is consistent, and he has a very well defined character as well. The one blip is in the conversation where they tell him they’re dating, where he suddenly sounds like a teenager.
