Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body
by Rebekah Taussig
I started with the audio but my brain still wasn't doing great focusing on audio after my flare up and I didn't want to miss anything because I could tell it was important. I switched to the digital and read it in a couple of days! It was so good! I am really appreciating reading nonfiction by other chronically ill and disabled women, and this was no exception. I believe I read about Taussig in another one of the books I read and then found her on IG. Her story really digs into ableism in the world as well as the internal ableism many disabled folks deal with because of the current "norms" in society.
