This is a touching story of what happens after someone is adopted. Lester moves in with Daddy Albert and Daddy Rich after years of living in a children's home. He is convinced that someone bad is going to take him away at night, but unable to vocalize this need, much to the frustration of his dads. They try to be patient, but being woken up every night is hard. Eventually they figure out a solution that works for the whole family. This book has the added nuance of being Vera Williams' last book, which she worked with Chris Raschka specifically on.
