I loved this book. It's cosy, magical and whimsical. I was hooked right from the first page.
My only real complaint about the book is that the moral message (protecting the environment and wildlife) is not at all subtle, especially in the second half. That said, this is a children's book so I'm fairly forgiving of it.
The imagery in the book is beautiful. The book is illustrated, but even without looking at the pictures I could envisage each scene in my head really easily. It would honestly make a great animated movie.
Just lovely.
