This was the first book I've read by this author and it definitely has me wanting to read more. One of my favorite "bookish" quotes is "I spent my life folded between the pages of books." I found that this quote came from this book! The main character can not touch people, but has lived her life through books instead.

There is a lot of action in this book, and in typical dystopian fashion, the government is corrupt and it's going to take the younger generation to attempt to fix things. Adam is an amazing character and I found him extremely likable from the first introduction. I like Juliette too, but her journaling in the beginning kind of threw me off. I struggled through the first chapter or two because I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Once I came to understand what was happening, I found the style of her writing to be entertaining.

I'm very much looking forward to reading the rest of this series, and seeing what other books this author has published.
