This story was such a disappointment. The idea itself is not bad, not original (Gone Girl?), but not bad. It's the execution that was so painful to witness. It needed a few more rounds of editing - chapters end abruptly, there's so much unnecessary profanity, characters are black and white stereotypical with no logical motivation - their actions just serve the plot and many times lead nowhere. No character development. A lot of characters are there just to be red herrings. "Plot twists" are also coming out of nowhere, the biggest one being the most obvious, ironically. The author did none of the research on the legal system and police procedures, and it shows. Horrible messages about women - her mother getting addicted TO HEROIN just because she lost her husband who was a breadwinner??? Oh, give me a break. The whole story feels like a waste of time. Do not recommend it. (The narrators were great, no complaints there!)
