This was unlike any of JG’s novels and with me being a fan of his already, I already knew this book was going to be good. Turtles took me someplace I wasn’t expecting. The mental illness triggers in this book were so intense that I sometimes wanted to scream out loud to Aza and help her. The friendship she has with Daisy is something I once shared with my best friend but have been missing for a long time. The love Davis had for her was so real. John Green knows what his readers want when we don’t even know it yet.
